Ferry
Why don't start your break away from the city with a beautiful 1hr 45min ferry trip from Auckland to Coromandel! The summer ferry schedule will be in operation after labour weekend. And in the high season the ferry runs every day.

A Bus meets ferry for the 11km journey into Coromandel Town.
A Bus departs Coromandel Town 30 minutes prior to departure of ferry.

Once you have arrived in Coromandel it takes about 30 minutes to get to Mahamudra Please phone and book your transport in advance.

Driving

If you would rather drive, don't forget Miranda hot pools are on the way and you can stop off for a rest and a recharge at the Sola Cafe in Thames for some tasty, vegetarian food.  If you are driving up and are willing to offer a ride to someone else who is coming up, please let us know when you are registering. It is approximately a three and a half hour drive from Auckland. First you need to get onto the Southern Motorway, heading towards Hamilton. Then turn from Highway 1 left onto Highway 2 (towards Mangatawhiri) than taking Highway 25 towards Thames. Pass through Thames and follow the signs to Coromandel, drive through the Township and then head towards Colville. Mahamudra is clearly sign posted on the left just before you enter Colville.

Buses leave daily from Auckland City and Manukau (closest to the airport) bus terminals. Bus 380 connects Auckland International and Domestic Terminal with Manukau.
