Lama Zopa Rinpoche is regularly giving advice for different projects at the Centre, to enable us to better serve others, and help us all create merit. Plus all the usual building and maintenance involved with a growing and expanding Centre.

New Administration Area Beneath the Main Building

As the Centre rapidly expands, our existing work spaces are becoming increasingly inadequate and difficult to work with. We urgently need to renovate the area beneath the main house building, to provide better facilities for our Reception Office, Administration Office, Library and Bookshop.

At present, when visitors come to Mahamudra, it is very unclear and confusing as to where to enter the building, which doors one can enter, how to find each office or facility.
And the shop cannot grow and flourish until we have a separate room for this.

Our dream is to provide these facilities in a well designed and user-friendly manner, by upgrading the large space beneath the main house building. See the photo below showing the large area beneath the house waiting to be upgraded!

So we need help with any or all of the following:

Friendly Architect
Building materials
Labour
Money to actualize the work

New Roofs Over the Garden Buddhas

While Kyabje Zopa Rinpoche was visiting Mahamudra Centre in mid 2006, Rinpoche saw for the first time, the roofs over each of the five Buddha statues in the grounds. See photo below.

Rinpoche then drew a new design for the roofs over these five Buddha statues, which looks much more beautiful and fitting for the Buddhas! See image of Rinpoche’s hand drawing of the new roofs below.

And plinths and flower garlands at the Stupa

On His recent visit, Kyabje Zopa Rinpoche also advised to put plinths and flower garlands running from the top of the Stupa, down to the Snow Lions (which will be raised higher off the ground).
