MAHAMUDRA CENTRE FACILITIES

Mahamudra Centre is situated on 8 acres on the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula. We offer various accommodation options to fit any budget. Total indoor capacity is 30 beds combining all our current options. Camping is also available.

Our Gompa (Meditation Hall) is always open. We offer guided meditations every Wednesday morning 8:15-8:45 AM.

Our Community Building offers lounge, dining tables, library, outdoor sitting areas, and full kitchen available to all guests (except during catered retreats).

​

Our Office and Universal Unity Shop, offering a selection of books, gifts and Buddhist objects, are open daily from 10am to 5pm.

​

The Centre’s grounds are beautifully landscaped with lawns, flower and vegetable gardens, fruit trees, bamboo and other native trees of New Zealand. 

​

Mahamudra Centre is available for rental by compatible groups and organisations, and provides a wonderful atmosphere for reflection, healing and relaxation. Contact us to learn more.

CABINS

Our self-contained cabins are ideal for individuals who wish to be supported in personal retreat. Cabins are a lovely and affordable way to experience this peaceful environment. We can also add beds for families wanting to share a large cabin.

All cabins come with:

  • Secluded location

  • Single or twin beds

  • Private bathroom with shower

  • Kitchenette

  • Dining area

  • Deck or outdoor sitting area

HUT

Our rustic hut is perfect for anyone who wants privacy, but is looking for an economy option. Guests staying in the hut utilize the shared bathrooms and have access to the Community Building kitchen.

THE MAIN BUILDING

Our Main Building offers 10 individual rooms accommodating one to three guests each. Guests staying in the Main Building utilize the shared bathrooms and have access to the Community Building kitchen.
