2 - 5 June 2023 with Hedwig Bakker
Kings Birthday Weekend
Qi Gong (pronounced: chi kung) is the art of working with your internal energy (Qi) through gentle movement, standing postures, breathing exercises and meditation to improve your state of being.
Qi gong is often called ‘meditation in motion’.
It is about learning nourishing practices for health, vitality, happiness, joy, connection, well-being and fulfilment. Becoming your own best master: mastery of your life, of your energy, cultivating the energy you want in any given moment or situation.
Qi Gong is easy to learn and enjoyable to do. The movements are slow, flowing, rhythmic, accessible and practical. Combined with meditation, the benefits of the practice will soon be experienced.
In this retreat we will work with the five principles of Qi Gong:
- Energy, Vitality
- Ease, Relaxation
- Resilience
- Joy, Enjoyment
- Being present, Grounded
We will explore and strengthen these principles through sitting and movement practice, cultivate them as powerful inner qualities to live by, so that we can enrich our days, our connections with others and live more fulfilling lives.
This retreat is suitable for anyone interested in learning the beauty, effectiveness, simplicity and power of Qi Gong and meditation. No previous experience required. For those who have done any of this before it is a wonderful opportunity to deepen and enrich their practice.
- Parts of this retreat will be conducted in silence -
Mahamudra Centre provides very conducive conditions for this retreat with its rural character, beautiful views,
peaceful atmosphere, spacious grounds, supportive staff, and nourishing meals.
