​We invite visitors and guests to come and enjoy our peaceful retreat centre. You don’t need to be Buddhist to come and stay, but we ask that you have an open heart and mind and a commitment to live by the five lay precepts while you are here: no killing, no stealing, no lying, no sexual miscoduct, and no intoxicants.​

We have single, double and triple rooms with shared toilet/shower facilities available as well as both single and double self-contained cabins. We also camping sites available for tents and campervans.

Our Gompa (Meditation Hall) is always open. We offer guided meditations every Tuesday morning 8:00-8:30 AM.

Our Community Building offers lounge, dining tables, library, outdoor sitting areas, and full kitchen (vegetarian only) available to all guests (except during catered retreats).

Our Office and Universal Unity Shop, offering a selection of books, gifts and Buddhist objects, are open daily from
9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The Centre’s grounds are beautifully landscaped with lawns, flower and vegetable gardens, fruit trees, bamboo and other native trees of New Zealand.
