Financial Aid - Supporting your Path

At Mahamudra Centre, we believe that financial circumstances should never prevent anyone from joining a retreat or program. To make participation possible, we offer different forms of support depending on your needs.

Payment Plans

1. Payment Plans

We offer flexible payment plans so you can spread the cost of a retreat over time.

  • Choose the amount and frequency of your payments (weekly or monthly).

  • A minimum deposit of $150 secures your place.

  • Together, we’ll create a plan that is realistic and manageable.

How to Apply:
Email us at support@mahamudra.org.nz to set up a Payment Plan Agreement. Once confirmed, you’ll be registered for your retreat.

2. Volunteer Exchange

In some cases, we can offer reduced retreat costs in exchange for volunteering your time and skills at the Centre.

  • Volunteer opportunities may include helping in the garden, housekeeping, cooking, or event support.

  • The details of your exchange will be agreed upon before the retreat begins.

How to Apply:
Email us at support@mahamudra.org.nz with your skills and availability, and we’ll explore how volunteering could help support your retreat participation.

3. Individual Options (Financial Hardship)

If you are experiencing significant financial hardship and the above options are not workable, we encourage you to reach out.

  • We will consider individual circumstances on a case-by-case basis.

  • Our aim is always to make sure sincere practitioners can attend, regardless of finances.

How to Apply:
Write to us at support@mahamudra.org.nz explaining your situation, and we will do our best to find a solution together.

Important Notes

  • Please reach out as early as possible so we have time to make arrangements.

  • Allow up to 2 weeks for us to process financial aid requests.

  • All financial aid requests are treated confidentially and with care.
